The Hot Zone:Part 1

I enjoyed the reading very much. Im very picky about my books so I dont like many, but i definitely like this one. I like that it wasted little time getting interesting. The first 10 to 15 pages were pretty boring and went by kind of slow, but once they got past the explanation of who Charles Monet was, and started talking about what was happening to his body it picked up briskly. I've never been so into a book. Im a huge slacker and instead of reading the book last minute I started it and noticed i couldn't put it down. I learned a lot, basically every fact about the Ebola and Marburg viruses that they stated was something new to me. I knew that Ebola was lethal but I didnt know that it was that bad. As far as questions go, Im only really wondering what the host was. Cant wait to read part two.

  1. Lightning, I agree with you about the first 15 pages being boring, I also learned a lot just like you.

  2. I did think the first bit wasn't too entertaining as well, but it definitely did a good job of kind of introducing the whole situation to the reader, which was the intended purpose. Agreed though, no idea whatsoever what the original host was, the book does a good job of leaving all possibilities open
