This is the OPPOSITE of altruistic behavior. If I was being altruistic, I would gladly save this bee from dying in my swimming pool, although it might possibly sting me. The reason that this (remember, this is the OPPOSITE of altruistic) is altruistic, not just selflessness is that there is no way that this could possibly benefit me, in fact, it could have hurt me to help this bee.
