Amniotc Egg (Number 16)



In this picture, is an amniotic egg which can be laid on land due to the presence of a fluid-filled amniotic sac (amnion) that cushions and protects the developing embryo.




Frond (Number 17)
A frond is a large leaf (especially of a palm or fern) usually with many divisions. As you look at this picture, it is a palm tree with many divided leaves, known as a frond.




Exoskeleton (Number 18)
An exoskeleton is the hard outer structure, such as the shell of an insect or crustacean, that provides protection or support for an organism. In the picture, is a lobster, which is a crustacean. As you can see in the picture the outer shell of the lobster is shown and is called the exoskeleton.






Ectotherm (Number 19)
An ectotherm is a cold- blooded animal whose regulation of body temperature depends on external sources. As shown in the picture, a fish is an ectotherm because is depends on an external source.





Endotherm (Number 20)
An endotherm is a warm- blooded animal that maintains a constant body temperature and depends on the environment. As shown in the picture, a rabbit is an endotherm because it maintains constant body temperature.





Long- Day Plant (Number 21)
A plant that requires a minimum set amount of hours of sunlight to flower, such as spinach, as shown in the picture.
