Part two of the novel The Hot Zone

When I was reading part two of The Hot Zone it had become more realistic to me because it was stories of things that had happened in the U.S. The names of places within the united states seemed familiar along with all of the agencies names. The reading has started to pick up because there is more of a story line instead of learning about the characters which makes the story slower. We are still learning about the characters but it seems like a lot less than before. I'm just confused as to how and what is really up with the whole monkey situation. It just really confuses me.
