4th Scavenger Hunt

(STRAWBERRY PLANT) Asexual Reproduction: Strawberry plants are asexual reproducers because when the branches grow and they hit the ground, they grow roots and make a new plant.
(PANSY FLOWER BUD) Auxin Producing Area of a Plant: Auxin is a hormone used for growing buds and shoots like this little flower bud.

(MUSHROOM) Basidiomycete: A plant that holds its spored in a basidium.
(RICE) C3 plant: Rice plants convert CO2 into C3.
(CORN) C4 plant: Corn turns CO2 into C4, and then enters the Calvin cycle.
(YOGURT) Fermentation: Yogurt is fermented and contains lactic acid.
(WORM) Hermaphrodite: Worms are simultaneous hermaphrodites and exchange gametes when they meet.
