Pollinator: An insect that carries pollen from one flower to another.

Rhizome: A horizontal, underground stem that often sends out roots and shoots from its nodes. Also called a rootstalk.

Frond: An often large, finely divided leaf. This frond is from a fern.

Seed dispersal(wind): The transportation of seeds away from the parent plant. The plant can expand its range when a seed is carried to a new environment right for growth. These seeds are from a wildflower.

Gymnosperm leaf: Leaves of gymnospermous plants are extremely variable. Most gymnosperms are evergreen, with leaves lasting more than one growing season. Others are deciduous and drop their leaves at the end of every growing season. Leaves are small and needlelike.
