Part 3 Of The Hot Zone

When I finished reading part three of The Hot Zone I just could not stop thing about the monkeys. The whole idea of having to put them down made me so upset. I felt so bad for those people who had to put them down. One reason I feel bad for them is because they have to live their lives that they are harming innocent animals that can’t fend for themselves. The crazy thing is that some of the people who put down the monkeys became ill. The workers were sick due to an illness that wasn’t too bad compared to the Ebola Virus which is very lucky. This confused me though because I couldn’t see why the workers had this virus in their system and they didn’t get sick from it? Even though the monkeys had the virus in their system and they still came down with the virus.
