Hot Zone part 3

This part of the book seemed to be less gruesome than the rest so far. I thought it was interesting how the army was brought into this and had to take careful precautions to help control the disease and keep it from spreading as much. I was kind of surprised they put down so many monkeys instead of just containing them to study more. It was interesting how the people who put down the monkeys became ill. I think it might of been more interesting if the human race became infected with the disease. My only question is why aren't the humans effected by the Ebola?
