Hot Zone Part 2

The second part of the Hot Zone was very entertaining, and attention holding. However, due to the addition of new people I found myself getting "lost" in the reading. Before the second part of this book I had no idea about the extensive testing on monkeys with Ebola and other viruses. The symptoms and pain the monkeys had to go through seemed horrid. As entertaining and interesting as this part was, I felt bad for the monkeys due to them being test subjects. Lastly, I couldn't believe that the virus was only deadly to monkeys. The only thing I want to know is can the virus mutate to become deadly to humans as well?
