Biological Magnification

Biological magnification is when a low level of poison is ingested by a species at the bottom of the food chain, but increases in toxicity due to a species higher in the food chain consuming many of these toxic species.  An example of this could be a spider that eats many mosquitoes that may have picked up toxic substances.  Due to the fact that the spider eats so many mosquitoes the toxicity amplifies
