The Hot Zone: Part 2

Sometimes all of the characters that get introduced in this are hard to keep up with, but they keep the book interesting. I love how the monkey are introduced more in Part 2; I felt connected to them in a way. I'm still not sure what to think of these viruses; sometimes they will breathe in the virus and get sick, but sometimes they won't. I hate waiting when a virus is introduced to know which virus it turns out to be! This part seemed to feel scarier and more real, due to it being in the United States!

  1. I feel the same way Abi, I'm so confused on how the viruses spread from one person(or animal) to another. That part isn't fully clear to me yet. Also, all the characters are really confusing to keep up with. Honestly I don't remember any of their names at the moment. I think the only person I remember is Nancy and Jerry(but is Jerry the brother that died or the one that is still alive! Ahh so confusing!) I also felt it was more realistic since it was in the United States. And, those poor monkeys :(! I feel so sorry that they keep dying and that the virus is spreading to the different rooms!

  2. ya i think keeping track of the characters is the hardest thing at this point... I also don't get how the virus gets spread to some but not all. i'm not really sure if it's completely airborne.
