A.P. Bio Scavenger Hunt
July 20
(sorry it's a day late, our router for the internet was down yesterday...)
Bilateral Symmetry: something when it's cut down the middle has two matching halves. My hamster, Vivian, although she's hiding in her tube, has this kind of symmetry.
Exoskeleton:  an external covering on an organism, such as seen in these beetles.
Modified Roots of a plant: This tree's roots had modified themselves to create shoots of new trees as apposed to staying underground, they resurface as new trees. (The tree in the background is the original, the small new tree behind my bracelet is the shoot)
Introduced Species: A plant or animal that has been transported from its original habitat to a new one. This plant is original from overseas and has been introduced to our backyard.
Heterotrogh: An organism that can not produce food on its own. It requires the help of other things that can, such as plants. My brother, who didn't want to take his picture..., is a heterotrogh.
