 Homeostasis: is the property of a system that regulates its internal environment and tends to maintain a stable, constant condition of properties such as temperature or pH. It can be either an open or closed system.
 Genetically Modified Organism: s an organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques
 Mycelium: is the vegetative part of a fungus, consisting of a mass of branching, thread-like hyphae.
Phloem: is the living tissue that carries organic nutrients (known as photosynthate), in particular, sucrose, a sugar, to all parts of the plant where needed.
Littoral Zone Organism: is the part of a sea, lake or river that is close to the shore. 
Keystone Species: is a species that has a disproportionately large effect on its environment relative to its abundance.
Bilateral Symmetry: is the balanced distribution of duplicate body parts or shapes.
