This is a dead mosquito. Currently, a hotly debated issue in the scientific community is whether or not to release genetically modified mosquitoes that would be resistant to malaria. In theory, these genetically modified mosquitoes will be stronger than their weaker counterparts, thus wiping out the blood-suckers who carry malaria.
