Week 5 Bio Scavenger Hunt Photos

Endotherm
Dogs are mammals and all mammals are endothermic which makes my dog a warm blooded animal. An endothermic organism creates its own heat internally.
Ectotherm
Any organism that regulates its body temperature mainly through transferring heat with its surroundings.
Endosperm
This is a picture of wheat endosperm that was ground into flour for bread and/or baking. An endosperm is the part of a seed that acts as a food storage compartment for the developing plant embryo.
Epithelial Tissue
The skin on my hand is an example of epithelial tissue. The epithelial tissue is a membranous tissue that covers internal organs and other internal surfaces of the body
Ethylene
The browning of the skin on this apple is due to the chemical reaction with ethylene.
This occurs in plants functioning particularly as a natural growth regulator that helps assist the ripening of fruit.
