Homologous structures


Homologous structures are structures in different species that are similar. My hand and my cat's paw are similar structures.

  1. Sorry, but I think you have a better definition for Vestigial structures, which are similar structures in animals without a common ancestor. Homologous structures are caused by a shared common ancestor.
