The Hot Zone: Part Four

The last part of the book didn't have all the gruesome activity that the other parts did.  I thought this book would end with more of a bang! Although the last part was boring, it was also interesting that the author traveled through the cave and never caught a case of the virus.  In this part, I learned that local doctors think that 30% of all men and women of childbearing age who live in the vicinity of Mount Elgon are infected with HIV.  That is sort of scary to know that you can live close enough and possibly be infected.  Overall the book was more interesting than I thought it would be.  I didn'y think I would really feel like I was in the book with them, but at times I felt like I was in the hot areas with them.

  1. I agree, at times it felt like you wear standing right there next to them, looking into a cut-up, Ebola infested monkey.
