K-Strategist



This second picture is just zoomed in on the first one so you can actually kinda see the squirrel.


K-strategist- species of organism that uses a survival and reproductive strategy characterized by low fecundity, low morality, longer life, and with populations approaching the carrying capacity of the environment, controlled by density dependent factors.  Squirrels have relatively small litters of offspring and live for a longer time, so they are k-strategists, like most or all other mammals
