Seed Dispersal: Water and Wind

Seed Dispersal: Many species of plants have seeds designed to travel away from the mother plant, to increase their odds of surviving to prosper by not remaining next to the mother plant, and draining the surrounding soil of nutrients. A bur seed is designed to cling to animal fur, which carries it away. Fruit and vegetable seeds are eaten by animals, and are later deposited to the ground through the animal's waste. Coconut seeds are designed to float. Dandelion seeds are meant to travel in the wind.

Water: In the top image, pine cones are floating down a pond.

Wind: Seeds of, I believe, cottonwood trees, are being pushed along the ground by the wind.
