Mating Behavior

Mating Behavior: Acts meant to help an organism reproduce, and pass on its genes. Plants release pollen, and certain animals have mating dances. I was on a bike trail when I heard bird calls. When I got closer, I saw some birds doing a dance, where they put one wing out, shake it around, then do the same with the other wing. These were probably the males, doing a mating dance, while the other birds watching were most likely females, looking for a suitable mate.
