The Hot Zone (Part Three)
I enjoyed this section because it focused more on one story and it was also more descriptive of the decon process. Throughout this part, I learned that while viruses may look alike, they can be completely different. While Ebola Zaire was extremely lethal to humans, Ebola Reston vaguely showed signs of disease within humans. The main question I have about this section is how much did the decon process cost? With so many tools used, it had to be a rather expensive project.

I agree about how it was more descriptive!
ReplyDeleteHow much it costs is a really good question. Also, was the army responsible for the costs? You'd think the company that owned the monkey house would be liable. Especially after they needed decontamination and then brought in more sick monkeys.
