Third Week Photos


Gymnosperm Cone
A vascular plant that has seeds that aren’t covered in an ovary.
 
Pollinator
 A bug, such as a bee, which carries pollen to the stigma of a flower. 
Pollen
 A powdery substance made by flowering plants that has male reproductive cells. The pollen can be carried by wind and insects to other plants, which it fertilizes.
Amniotic Egg
 The embryo develops inside a shell like structure that helps protect the embryo.
Long-day plant
 A plant, such as this potato plant, that blooms only after being in light for times that is longer than a certain critical length.
