The Hot Zone: Part One

When I first began to read this book I thought this would be more about statistical facts but after reading the book for a while I realized I was wrong.  The book in my opinion starts kind of slow, it does not initially connect to the ebola virus.  After a while however you begin to connect the dots on how this poor man could have become infected such as touching that unknown substance in the cave among other things.  One of the questions I had was why Charles Monet got infected with the ebola virus but his female companion did not.  Or how it appears that she left town right after he got sick which usually suggest foul play.  I found it so sad that he passed away just soon after looking for medical help.  However, I admired the doctors willingness to help this man when he knew how hopeless his situation was.
