Adaptations of a plant

Adaptation: A trait or behavior that helps a species survive and pass on its genes.

The tomato above is an adaptation for the plant, for when an animal eats the fruit, they then spread the plant's seeds in their waste, making new tomato plants. By the plant giving animals something desirable, food, the plant is able to pass on its genes.

The rosebush depicted above has thorns covering it, to deter animals from eating it, allowing it to survive, and pass on its genes.
