Dominant vs recessive phenotype

 

 

Phenotypes are observable traits such as blue eyes and blonde hair.  These traits are genetically based.  In my case both of my parents have blue eyes and a family history of blue eyes, and although this is a recessive trait, I only had a 25% chance of getting an eye color other than blue. My blonde hair is also a recessive trait.
