The Hot Zone-

I thought it was a really good book, and I enjoyed reading it.  I don't understand why so many people are complaining about bad it is.  I also think that Nancy is extremely lucky that she did not get infected with Ebola, as it is so easily transmitted. I learned many things about how dangerous viruses are, and how quickly they can spread. Am I supposed to give specific facts that I learned? I didn't have any questions at this point, and didn't throughout the book, as this isn't exactly a book where they withhold information from you.

Scavenger Hunt-

Amniotic egg: This is an amniotic egg, as there was an embryo growing inside it at one point.

Autotroph: The trees in the background are autotrophs, as they use photosynthesis to synthesize their own food.

Basidiomycete: This red mushroom we saw on our vacation to Alaska a few years ago is a basidiomycete, as it has spores for sexual reproduction.

Bilateral symmetry:This stingray we saw at the Shedd Aquarium has bilateral symmetry, as both sides of its body are symmetrical.

Heterotroph: My brother is feeding a Muskox, which is a heterotroph, as it cannot create its own food, so it has to eat organic compounds.
