Niche - the role or function of an organism or species in an ecosystem. The role of a tree is to absorb water, mineral salts, and sunlight. As well as, provide shelter and food to other organisms. Lastly they have to produce oxygen for humans to breathe and inhale the carbon dioxide that humans exhale.
