Meristem - a region of plant tissue consisted of actively dividing cells forming new tissue. At the bottom of this stem, cells are multiplying and growing in order to grow downwards more. At the top of this stem, cells are dividing/replicating in order for new tissue to grow so the plant will grow taller.
