5th Biology Scavenger Hunt

(EYE) Dominant vs. Recessive Phenotype: My mother's brown eye genotype is a dominant trait while my father's eyes are a recessive hazel. I have hazel eyes because my mother's father has hazel eyes so the recessive genotype of my grandfather combined with my father's to give me a hazel phenotype.
(FLY) Ectotherm: Ectotherms are cold blooded and flys are cold blooded.
(BIRD) Endotherm: An endotherm is a warm blooded animal and birds are warm blooded.
(CICADA) Exoskeleton: A cicada has a hard outer shell, that acts like the skeleton.
(DANDELION) Seed Dispersal: Later in the season, all the flower petals become seed and when the wind blows the seeds get blown away and grow new flowers.
